Not all “Befores” are bad, but sometimes you want to make your house your home and impart a personal touch. That’s just what happened at this East Bench, Salt Lake City home. Having been remodeled by a flipper just a short time before, the home lacked personality and didn’t reflect the new owner’s personality. We stripped away the elements the flippers added in (like the knotty pine ceilings) and revealed a beautiful, open, clean, and functional space. Unique touches in this home are the dramatic lighting throughout- which was thoughtfully considered to highlight the client’s art collection. A ceiling mounted kitchen hood kept sight lines open, and a ceiling mounted shelf in custom welded steel is going to be an amazing display space for the clients evolving collections.
